This Privacy Policy explains how Blowout Draft ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Blowout Draft (the "Service"). Contact us at help@blowoutdraft.com with any questions.
What we collect
- Account information you give us: email address, first and last name, optional nickname, and your chosen time zone.
- Third-party sign-in: if you choose to sign in with Apple, Facebook, Google, or Microsoft, that provider sends us basic profile information — your email address and name, plus a unique identifier used to link your Blowout Draft account. We never receive your password for those accounts. Each provider's handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy.
- Gameplay data: your leagues, entries, weekly picks, and results.
- Usage & device data collected via analytics cookies once you consent (see our Cookie Policy): pages viewed, approximate location, browser/device type. We use Google Analytics for this.
- Essential cookies needed to sign you in and keep the site secure.
We do not collect payment information — Blowout Draft is free to play.
How we use it
- to operate the game (accounts, leagues, picks, scoreboards, badges);
- to send account and league-related email (e.g. invitations, commissioner messages);
- to understand and improve usage of the Service (analytics, with your consent);
- to keep the Service secure and enforce our Terms.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contract: hosting (Microsoft Azure), email delivery (Mailgun), text messaging (Twilio), analytics (Google), and — if you choose to use them to sign in — the authentication providers Apple, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft. Some gameplay information — your nickname or entry name, and your picks after they lock — is visible to other members of your leagues, which is how the game works. We may disclose information if required by law.
Your choices & rights
You can edit your profile and entries in the app, manage or delete your account under Account settings (including "Download/Delete personal data"), and change your cookie choices any time via Cookie settings in the footer. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data — contact help@blowoutdraft.com to exercise them.
Retention & security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the Service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no system is perfectly secure.
Children
The Service isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact help@blowoutdraft.com and we'll delete it.
SMS/Text messaging terms & privacy
Blowout Draft offers SMS text messages so you can receive account and gameplay notifications. By adding your mobile number and opting in, you agree to the terms in this section.
What we send
Two kinds of messages: one-time verification codes for signing in (two-factor authentication), and weekly pick reminders that let you know when to draft a team, with a link back to the site to make your selection.
Message frequency & cost
Message frequency varies — verification codes are sent only when you request them, and reminders are recurring (typically up to a few per week during the NFL season). Message and data rates may apply. Blowout Draft does not charge for texts.
Opting in and out
You opt in by enabling text notifications and/or two-factor authentication on your account; consent isn't a condition of using Blowout Draft. Reply STOP to any message to cancel (we'll send one confirmation, then stop), or HELP for help. You can also contact us at help@blowoutdraft.com.
We don't share your mobile number
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. We share it only with the messaging providers that deliver these texts (e.g. Twilio), solely to send the messages you asked for. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
